EVOLVE PHYSIO

Across 30 years of clinical practice in private practice, elite sport, and the performing arts, my mission has been to support people of all ages and activity levels — from recreational through to elite — to move well, recover fully, and stay active in what they love. I work across the full range of musculoskeletal and sports injury presentations, integrating depth in manual therapy with diagnosis, rehabilitation, and return-to-performance across the full spectrum of sport. ISM sits at the heart of how I approach complex presentations.

My deepest specialism lies in complex presentations of the hip, groin, and pelvis. My clinical skills in the spine and pelvis were shaped through years of mentorship and subsequent co-authorship with Dr Barbara Hungerford, a leading Australian researcher and clinician in this area. My hip and groin expertise has developed in parallel through Dr Alison Grimaldi’s Hip Academy and ongoing engagement with the international hip specialism community via the British Hip Society and the Hip Preservation Society (ISHA).

Staying actively engaged with research, education, and the wider profession is how I keep my clinical practice informed, current, and connected to those shaping the field. I am a Clinical Partner on the Young Adults with Hip Pain Priority Setting Partnership at the University of Cambridge, I sit on the Education Committee of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM), contributing to the development of postgraduate sports physiotherapy education in the UK, and serve as Private Practice Liaison for the UK Hip Physiotherapy Network. I qualified from the University of Sydney in 1994 and run Evolve Physiotherapy, my private practice in Surrey (Cobham/Esher), in addition to consulting in elite sport in the UK.

I can provide for you:

  • First-contact assessment, differential diagnosis, and individually tailored treatment and rehabilitation
  • A specialist second opinion when recovery is not progressing as expected, with collaboration across your wider care team
  • Direct referrals for specialist input, imaging and interventional radiology
