Adrienne trained in Perth, Australia and obtained her Master of Physiotherapy in 2010. She completed further Post Graduate studies at Curtin University (Perth, Australia) in Clinical Physiotherapy – Continence and Women’s Health in 2014. Since then she has been working in the specialized area of Pelvic Health and Women’s Health at the Bladder Clinic at the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre in Surrey and at Diane Lee and Associates where she completed the ISM Series in 2015. More recently she has joined the multidisciplinary team at Fortius Sport and Health in Burnaby.
Adrienne’s areas of focus include bladder and bowel incontinence/dysfunction and pelvic pain management in women and men. She has a keen interest specifically in women’s health issues related to pelvic organ prolapse management and pre/postnatal care including prep for birth, perinatal musculoskeletal conditions, postnatal pelvic floor rehabilitation as well as rehabilitation of diastasis rectus abdominis.
Adrienne is committed to ongoing education and maintains evidence-based practice with a person-centered, functional biopsychosocial approach. She uses manual therapy, including skills in internal pelvic floor assessment and treatment and empowers her clients with education and active, movement based treatments where she incorporates her clinical Pilates training.
Adrienne is passionate about assisting women to maintain their function and activity levels during pregnancy, return safely to function, exercise and sport after birth and maintain health through the lifespan. She is actively working to advocate and improve pelvic health awareness and accessibility in BC.
