Restore Hope Physical Therapy
Hope Cunningham, DPT is a pelvic floor physical therapist with a private practice in the Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, DC. She specializes in working with all genders who experience pelvic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, pain with sex, pregnancy related pain, and postpartum recovery.
Dr. Hope is trained by the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Myofascial Release, and by the Upledger Institute in CranioSacral Therapy. Dr. Hope obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science program where she began her training in pelvic health and completed two pelvic floor internships.
Before pursuing her Doctorate, she was a licensed massage therapist and practiced for 10 years in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. For her undergraduate education, Dr. Hope graduated from Earlham College and majored in Religion. When not seeing patients, Dr. Hope enjoys cooking and eating adventurous foods, rock climbing, traveling, making art, and spending time with her her husband and son Whitaker.
