Diane Lee & Associates
Cathy received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia in 2000. As a member of the varsity women’s volleyball team at UBC during those years she was first exposed to physiotherapy and it’s positive impact on her own personal athletic career. Following graduation from UBC, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto, graduating in 2003.
Since graduation, Cathy has worked exclusively in private practice. She spent many years working extensively as a senior physiotherapist as part of an interdisciplinary pain management program working to empower patients with complex chronic pain issues to learn to better manage their symptoms and thereby improve their quality of life. Cathy moved on to join the team at Diane Lee & Associates in 2009.
Cathy has had extensive post-graduate training in the areas of chronic pain and orthopaedics. She obtained her certification for Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in 2005 (CAFCI). Cathy is also a graduate of The Integrated Systems Model (ISM) approach (Lee D 2011, The Pelvic Girdle 4th edition), which teaches a framework for whole body assessment and integrated treatment. This integrated approach is practiced extensively at Diane Lee & Associates. She was the first to complete the ISM Certification process with Diane Lee in 2015. Given her experience, Cathy is now a senior assistant for the ISM Series and plays a key role in facilitating this course.
Cathy enjoys treating all types of patients and injuries and is passionate about helping her patients feel and move better for long term health and well being.
