2027 UK 2-Part Practical ISM Series
The 2-Part Practical ISM Series is the in-person course that supports the ISM Series Online home study course. The online course is included in the full tuition for the Practical ISM Series.
If you have previously purchased the ISM Series Online course, your tuition will be reduced by $999 CAD.
Prerequisites
To attend the Practical ISM Series, you must complete:
- Part 1 of the ISM Series Online course before attending Practical Part 1
- Part 2 of the ISM Series Online course before attending Practical Part 2
The online course provides the theory, evidence and concepts of ISM. The practical course builds on this foundation through hands-on skill development and clinical reasoning.
The in-person training will help ensure that your clinical findings are valid and reliable and will develop your ability to interpret those findings and determine their relevance for the individual in front of you.
A key concept of ISM is Finding the Driver: determining which region of the body should be prioritized for further assessment and treatment when an individual presents with multiple impairments and complaints.
Tuition for the 2-Part Practical ISM Series
First-Time Students
Total tuition: $4,800 CAD
Tuition includes:
ISM Series Online: $999 CAD
The complete ISM Series online home study course, including approximately 30 hours of lectures, articles and directed reading from The Thorax (D. Lee, 2018). This portion of the tuition is non-refundable.
If you have already purchased this course, $999 CAD will be deducted from your tuition.
In-Person Practical Course: $3,551 CAD
Ten days of in-person learning, divided into two 5-day practical courses.
ISM Flow Course: $150 CAD
A quick-reference guide to the concepts and clinical processes taught throughout the online and in-person ISM Series. This course will be added to your account after you complete Practical Part 1.
Private Forum Support: $100 CAD
Between Parts 1 and 2, you will have access to a private online forum monitored by Diane. Your group can share case reports, discuss clinical reasoning and receive feedback from both Diane and fellow participants.
This support is designed to help you integrate what you have learned into clinical practice while you are actually working with patients, with ongoing opportunities to ask questions and refine your clinical reasoning.
Payment Schedule
At registration: $999 CAD
This will be charged to your credit card when you register. At that time, the complete ISM Series Online home study course will be added to your account. This payment is non-refundable.
The remaining $3,801 CAD will be billed in two instalments:
- October 1, 2026: $1,900.50 CAD
- February 1, 2027: $1,900.50 CAD
If you register after February 1, 2027, the full course fee will be charged at registration.
Returning ISM Series Students
If this is not your first ISM Series course, you are eligible for a 15% returning-student discount.

Who Can Attend?
This course is restricted to physiotherapists and other recommended manual medicine practitioners.
Acceptance into the course will be determined by the organizing committee. You will be notified once your application has been reviewed and approved.

Cancellation Policy
Please read the cancellation policy carefully before registering.
Learn with Diane Lee reserves the right to alter the course schedule or cancel the course. If the course is cancelled by Diane Lee/Learn with Diane Lee, all course fees paid will be refunded in full.
If you cancel after registration and before February 15, 2027, you may retain access to the ISM Series online home study course for your $999 non-refundable deposit, and any additional instalments you have paid will be refunded.
If you cancel on or after February 15, 2027, any instalments paid beyond the $999 deposit will only be refunded if your place in the course can be filled by another participant.

What is the value of the in person portion of this course?
“The in person course is simply amazing. It’s a unique opportunity to see how Diane practices and clinically reasons. She has years of clinical experience and international research and she definitely lives what she teaches. “This course had more thought provoking and useful techniques than I anticipated. If you have a solid manual therapy background, but sometimes find yourself struggling with a patient with “traveling pains” or something that just won’t settle – do it ! You need this. The Physiotherapy profession needs this. This is clinical reasoning beyond what you have grasped before. We need to look at motor patterns and mechanics more deeply than we have before Compensations that have built up in the tissues over time, causing vectors of pull that are much further than you had dared to venture – but it’s time to recognize these influences to help our patients resolve their issues. This course made me think differently about fascia in a way I never have before. This time together was a fantastic group collaboration, group learning, helping each other to find biomechanical solutions that I would not have dreamt of. I have solved pelvic pain working on a clavicle, looked at cranial motion that was changing diaphragm function. There are connections you have not imagined and this course will help you find them. ““It’s amazing how much work went into putting together a video library of this quality. It’s very helpful to watch and have ongoing access to all the videos Diane and her team created. I watched them all before class, and then tried techniques on patients before showing up to learn them in person, as this helped me formulate what questions I may have and what I still need to make sense of. I would also go back to the videos over the notes to revisit the technique learned and clarify details of performing them correctly (whether it is an assessment skill or treatment). They were very helpful to review right before seeing a patient that would fit the profile of the technique aimed to assess or treat a patient’s specific problem.”
“I have not read that many articles in a long time, but they were recent, relevant and made me think differently. I chose to do a deeper dive on scapular muscles. For areas that were new to me (like the cranium), having the videos before the course was really helpful, especially as I am a visual learner. They were also great for referring back to during the course to reinforce learning. I have referred back to the videos countless times since finishing the course. In particular, the videos demonstrating treatments and progressing motor control. I am continuing with my clinical development using the online materials 6 months after I finished the course. “The forum facilitated clinical reasoning and also encouraged communal learning as well as gave us a sense of ownership over the case presented. Peer questions and feedback, learning from their reasoning and the guidance of the facilitators were all very valuable.”
“After 6 months, I am developing my own “flow”. It took quite a while to put it all together, and watching others cases in the online discussions helped pull together the larger concept. Spoiler alert : here’s how to find the distant parts of the body that are causing the pain or dysfunction. It needs to be a big course. The discussions got me thinking. We had a fantastic group of seasoned clinicians willing to put aside egos and learn and thoughtfully challenge each other. I could not have asked for better.”
